It's been a great market for seven consecutive years in Minnesota. The real estate appreciation went to the top right corner of the chart like an arrow. Buyers wanted to buy, and sellers wanted to sell. Suddenly, we sensed a change. Finger pointing to the sub prime lending institutions, over speculation by almost every real estate affiliated business and a literal plummet/correction occurred in the Twin Cities and many other market centers.

In most parts of the country, the market has been good longer than most real estate professionals have been in the business! How does that impact todays' consumer? So, many agents don't know how to help people or even know what a 'shifting market' is all about. As a result approximately ONE-THIRD of the area real estate agents did not renew their licensure with their Boards of Realtors in the New Year.
